Il GM norvegese Magnus Carlsen

Stavo leggendo un’intervista pubblicata nel mese di novembre 2011 sulla rivista Torre e Cavallo,  fatta al numero 1 del mondo, il diciassettenne GM norvegese Magnus Carlsen.  Secondo Carlsen,  in Norvegia esistono valori che in altri paesi occidentali  non vengono tenuti in alcuna considerazione; infatti, ad una precisa domanda  fatta dall’intervistatrice su cosa intende per valori, il GM norvegese risponde: “ A cose semplici come comportarsi con decenza, essere educati, non vantarsi troppo, non barare. Questi sono i valori più apprezzati in Norvegia e forse non così tanto in nazioni come la Spagna o l’Italia che ha una lunga tradizione di imbrogli.”

E quando si parla di nazioni occidentali quali gli Stati Uniti o l’Italia, Magnus risponde: Noi norvegesi non consideriamo l’Italia né una nazione occidentale, né una nazione civile.

Dure le parole del giovane GM norvegese che il sottoscritto non trova affatto condivisibili  per un semplice motivo: anche in Italia c’è chi crede ai valori citati da Carlsen.
